Welcome to the Stumble Inne.....
From the outside, the pub was a simple design of such that could be found in a village setting, the two-story establishment being nestled in a small clearing with a dirt road leading up through the dooryard. Off to the northern end of the pub stood a small, single-story building, once employed as a stable for the long-departed travelers that sought relief in a drink or a night's lodgings to rest weary bones.
But inside, the pub wasn't of quite so simple decor, the warmth and ambiance seemingly impossibly housed within the pub's walls. From the door, a straight path would lead to the bar, the doorway leading into the small kitchen offset behind and near the end of the counter, while scattered in neat array, a few tables and chairs occupied the area in between.
Two sizable windows at the front of the building gave the patron seated at any of the four booths a view of the dooryard and dusty roadway beyond. With a swept gaze to the left, a hearth would be seen nearly tucked away into the corner and set before it, a cherished wing-backed chair with a small round ottoman tucked beneath. A small round table separated the wing-back from the other and less ornate but comfortable chair to complete the odd set.
In the corner closest to the door, again seen on the left side, the first few steps of a stairway could be seen defining with the outline of its jamb an area intended for pegging outerwear and on the worst of days, muddied boots. Wooden beams, both supportive as well as decorative, were of rich coloring, save for the grain of the bar which held a blonde coloring in comparison.
The Stumble Inne is under the ownership of one Ekaterina Von Drasek, along with the hard working and ever present Radulfr (NPC'd Bartender). Radulfr was a man of middle age, though his form still hardened from the years of battle he waged. A Viking by birth, the years and countless injuries in battle had finally taken its toll. Due to this, he set off to find another life in which he could exist and retain pride. It was upon learning of the death of an old mentor and friend, that he ended up at the front door of the Stumble Inne. How he came to meet the proprietor that was taking his mentors loss quite hard; which surprised him most, because of the candid nature he learned as he got to know her. Now he tended to the bar and prepared the meals for travelers, as well as rooms for those wishing to remain for the night. It has become the central hang out for all members of the Contractors LLC, where they gather to relax, rest, and meet with potential clients.
The Stumble Inne rests off the major roadways that lead to the Port of Kiel and all points beyond. Somewhat secluded, yet not fully non-viewable, it offers a sense of security. Rooms are modest at best, nothing lavish, although clean and comfortable. A public bath to be shared, unless a special fee is offered to provide one in the private of your own room. Copper, silver, gold, and platinum pieces are utilized by way of currency. You must stable your own horses and tend to your carriages or wagons, the Inne will not be held responsible. Those seeking employment, there's always something in need to be done. Simply inquire of Ekaterina Von Drasek (idarkestxdesirei) and she'll set you up with not only a job, but a room to call your own. The Stumble Inne is simply a gathering place for all travelers. A place to rest, gain a meal, or a drink if you so desire.
(OOC Rules: The Stumble Inne is considered Neutral grounds for all. No guild, no forum, no kingdom has control over it's land or the establishment itself. If any rules are broken, you will be banned without question without being asked to leave. You can not kill Radulfr. No modern anything will be recognized in the Stumble, it's location is a Medieval/Fantasy setting. NO DICE, TB only in the Stumble, period!)
