Hello all,

I'm sending you this email because you're either already involved in the play, and you can share this with individuals you think might be interested in playing a part, or you're someone I've rp'd with and though you might be interested in the play. Information on what's going on follows, to include a link at its end.

This is the Quest for the Ledger of Rituals ... a SL that's presently taking place in the Port of Kiel. It's an extensive SL that has a lot of potential and parts to be played by people who may wish to become involved. There's been a lot of play to provide the background for what's going on, but far from even beginning and leaves room for potential new players. I'm providing the link to where all the play is being posted, and other information provided by the charc's already involved in the play. The main person to speak with about the SL if you have questions is Osiris - SN: honor in silence. When it comes to the background on most of the charc's, he's the source of information you'd need.

The skinny on the SL is this: They will be traveling to the North where the Barbarian King reins over a vast portion of the lands. He has made a pact of some sort (motive yet unknown) with a Dracolich Sorcerer, who has the ability to call upon not only a legion of Red Dragons, but raise the dead. The Barbarian King has sent word out to neighboring lands, that he seeks a mate in order to provide him with an heir. His mate must be of Nordic blood to be even considered, but he's not against considering women from other lands if they appease him. Now, the Barbarian King is collecting an army of his own, and has several large encampments of men surrounding his land, Barbarians, men from mountain clans, and mercenaries are the bulk of the Kings army. Many women have already been presented to the Barbarian King, and days later these women would disappear and not heard from again. At this point, no one is missing them, or seems concerned with their disapperance. The reason they're disappearing? Yet to be determined. Who's taking them, the Barbarian King or Dracolich Sorcerer? No one knows yet. The Dracolich has in his possession a very powerful book, Osiris is wanting this book, as it once belonged to him and is an intricate part to a puzzle of pieces he already has in his posession. Kat is going to present herself to the Barbarian King under the guise of a Noble woman, using her title as Baroness and the main land as well as business holder in Kiel in being presented to him. She's approaching him with gifts, as well as using herself as a taunt, to gain the Kings favor for protection of her lands (though this is a pretense), and perhaps capture his eye and favor of being his chosen one, a game of cat and mouse with the Barbarian King, to get their feet through the door into the kingdom, to find the book that will be necessary in defeating the Dracolich. Also, the armies that gather, none know why or what is being offered to them to stand in the Barbarian Kings favor, they may or may not be able to be drawn to favor the cause of those from Kiel to stand against the King and the Dracolich. As you see, there's a lot of basis, but a lot yet to be played out. So if you're interested, please look over the play already done and contact either myself or Osiris mun to let us know your interest and what part you'd like to play.

The undead dragon is the Dracolich, who has the Ledger of Rituals that Osiris seeks. The Dracolich has for some reason sided with the Barbarian King, they're helping each other out. The Barbarian King is seeking a mate to provide him an heir, and the Dracolich is collecting the women that the Barbarian King refuses. The Barbarian (Think Conan) King is seeking a woman of Norse blood, a pure blood, to do this. The region has few who are of true blood, though Kat is one of the true bloods. The Dracolich is actually using the King, or how it's rumored, to help the King raise armies in which to spread out over the lands and conquer them to claim under his rule. In truth, the Dracolich is letting the king think he's helping him, when in truth the Dracolich intends on overthrowing the kingdom to claim it as his own, as well as all the conquered lands. However, the SL hasn't gotten quite that far yet lol. And this is all speculated, no one knows for sure what the actual reason is behind the Dracolich siding with the Barbarian. But that is really summarizing all the play into a nice little package, of what's been thought, speculated, or rumored to be. What has been played out is that the Barbarian Kings armies are growing, and they're spread out over his lands which range for 25000 miles at present. Emissaries from the wealthiest families and nobility of all the neighboring lands have been traveling to his kingdom to present their daughters, nieces, ect, in hopes he chooses their family member to gain them favor by the King. Now, as for how the stronghold or castle looks, that's completely up to you if you wish it to look as ruins. In the abduction part, the Dracolich sent someone out to kidnap Kat to bring her back to him. He's using her to lure Osiris, but supposedly he's going to give her to the King as an offering so to speak. As for the numbers of the Kings men, 1000 - 3000 or more wouldn't be out of the question, since he is the King of the Northern lands and the mountain terrain.

Alright guys, thought I'd send out a general info email for all to help co-ordinate RP's yet to take place.

I know that abduction of Kat moved a bit quickly, but due to the sporadic opportunities for all to play, trying to keep things moving along, even if play might be out of sequence of time to get it done.

Here's the skinny .....

Aux, who is half Red Dragon half man, is the one who attacked Khel and abducted Kat. He's doing it for the Dracolich in payment of a rare item the Dracolich has that he wants, his price to gain it was to abduct Kat. Which we all know is being done to force Osiris' hand so to speak.

Randell has written a part that will be on the MB soon about finding Khel and the transformation that's taking place of the man, which is feasible.

Play is still yet to be done between Rad and Osiris to inform him of Kat's abduction, which hopefully will be taking place Sun (tonight) night. There will also be the party heading out in search of Kat and Osiris to face the Dracolich for several reasons of his own.

Now, although IC none know, Randell is a master spy and he has quite a set up, to include some skilled spies in his employ. He could write it out, as he did with finding Khel, of instantly sending out his men to gain information of what happened to Kat and Khel's attacker once he learned of the incident.

Kat was not taken to the Northern mountain territories of the Barbarian Kings hold, as would be expected. Thanks to the mun of the Barbarian King, a new twist was added to the game. She is presently being kept at a keep on Shark Island.

The Dracolich had a ship awaiting in a cove, and it was here that Aux took Kat. They then sailed to Skull Island, where the King had gone in search for a pure blood Norse, and is presently taking residence in a keep he maintains there. The island is a Pirate, Sell Sword, Sailor haven, but it's forest are also filled with active tribes of cannibals that reside there. The Keep is located in the mountainous terrain of the Islands presently inactive volcano. As of play 9/22/12, they had just arrived. (This will be posted on the MB, once Randell gets his posts up and other play transpires that catches the rest of the group up to the present play)

This all being said, and since Randell's men would be skilled at what they do, and have informants to assist in their effort, they could easily learn of the strange ship that had been anchored in an area ships don't usually dock (well not dock, as there is no port there. They would have been anchored out in the cove bay.). The ship would have been spotted by incoming and outgoing sailors, and information would be easily gained on the direction to which it head. Now, as of play with the Barbarian King, the Dracolich and Aux were still upon Sharks Island, however, they could have easily got back aboard their ship and returned that night or the next morning too. I leave that to Dance with Rot to input as to where they are presently located, or if still traveling with the King or returning to the Northern Territories, where the Kings throne presently sits empty in his absence (hint hint)

Skull Island is the largest Island located to the north of the Island clusters, however, when Kat was taken ashore, there were those who would be somewhat considered loyal to Kat that witnessed her being brought ashore, bound, and then packed off with the King, who could be on one of the southern most islands the group first comes upon, to inform them of exactly where she was taken.

As for the Ledger of Rituals, that should be discussed between Osiris and Dance muns as to where the book is located and how it may be obtained. As for the basis of information about the Ledger of Rituals, the battle between Osiris and the Dracolich, that needs to be discussed with Osiris mun, for this is his creation to which we all breath life into.

The Barbarian King is an idea created by myself and Osiris mun, however Syados, who is rping him, has been given free rein to bring him and his kingdom to life.

The Dracolich is a creation of Osiris, but creativity has been given to Dance of the Rot to this charc, which he has been extensively researching and giving life to by him.

I'm in the works of creating a map that will outline the Islands, Kiel, and the Badlands, since the original map poofed due to one of the muns that left the sl taking down her site in which the original was upon. Though with the present sl, many changes would have been made to that map anyway's, so the new map will incorporate those.

Also, there's still room to invite others to jump on board, as there's tons of interactive play that can and will still take place. So if you know someone that might be interested, please feel free to forward this email to them. Good guys, bad guys, those neutral, trouble makers, instigators, lots of areas other people can get involved.

Syados also has SL's going on in the Islands that charc's can interact in, or new charcs made to interact. There is also JD's interaction, although right now I only rp as cameo appearances on the MB until such time more direct play lures me to draw her out for RP.

I have 2 other charcs for interaction, Carlotta (Owner of the Bloody Bore Tavern) on the Kiel docks, outside the market area, and Nadja, the little Romni Gypsy. They're available for play too, either to further a sl or to get another started.

Even though Kat isn't around, Port of Kiel won't come to a standstill, there are still SL's that can be created there.

Dance of the Rot has come up with a great creation. He's going to be creating the Badlands, that will also cross into all areas of play on the MB. It will be the land of Ogres, and I'm sure other sorted creatures and the likes. So there will be charc's and play to be found there too, and I'm sure future quests.

Nothing is set in stone in this rp, things can happen that direct change and such, but can only happen through IC interaction. The MB is there to be used so you can throw up a post to help the SL along, if you don't have the time to rp something out. I know active rp between charc's helps those creative juices, but ya'll have proven what awesome writers you are, and the skills you possess to write something to help the SL along when others can't be present to play parts out.

I know a lot of play has taken place, and a lot of information out there. If ya'll weren't such awesome writers, it wouldn't be nowhere near what it has become.

I'm sure I've overlooked something trying to piece this all together with all the play that's transpired so far. Any questions, ideas, suggestions ... please reply all so we can all partake in the discussion via email to keep everyone on the same page.

What the spies would find out when actively searching, is that a strange beast upon which a strange looking creature and a blonde haired woman was seen heading down the main road leading out of Kiel, then drifted off into the forest.

Sailors would speak of a sighting of a ship that was anchored in a cove a few miles up the coast from Kiel. The reason it was noted, was that it was anchored in a strange place for the area. Not a spot normally chosen to anchor for the night, nor to go ashore. Some might have seen a boat travel from the land to the ship anchored beyond.

As for the direction, if the ship was noticed sailing away from Kiel, like so many others did, what the ship looked like would be something that you'd have to discuss with Dance of the Rot, as that is his baby to bring to life. He'd also be the one to discuss exactly what might be seen when Aux was whisking away Kat. I don't mind filling in spaces, but all need to put their part in there too, especially when it comes to their charc and their charc actions.

One thing that would be noted, on Kat's part, is she didn't seem to be in distress. She wasn't fighting against her captor, even though she was physically bound to his body with ropes to keep her from escaping.

Osiris has picked up a few tid bits of his own, which I'm sure could and will be shared.

I filled in a few blanks here, the other creative minds that are a strategic portion to this SL can help fill in the rest! Go team! Ra Ra sis boom ba!

Tonights play:

Tonight or tomarrow we hope to add another scene to the kidnapping with Kat and the Barbarian King (and anyone else who wants to play a part of the bad guys) and hopefully the Dracolich

Osiris (If the mun is able to get on tonight) will be getting together with those that will be traveling to meet up with the Dracolich and Barbarian King and preparing to depart, or even have them departing.

Also a meeting between Randell and Nadja at the Stumble Inn, so we could use the Stumble Inn as the basis for the gathering and departure point.
