'To Catch a Pirate' - The Abduction of Carlotta Basinstoke
It had been quite overwhelming to a degree of all she had been dealing with before the week even began. It all starting out by the meeting of a British Officer, one who could provide information that she could send onto JD, to keep her friend abreast of the Ton's movements. Then to top it off, he had to be handsome and charming to boot. Sometimes she found herself forgetting her purpose for continuing to see him. Then there was the new Fraiser account, not just payment for contracts or advice, she gained herself a retainer. Things were looking up for her as well. Putting out food for the dogs, she'd leave them out for the night since it was too humid for them to climb into her bed; which they all did, although in the winter, it was cozy. The two raccoons were curled up together on the couch just snoozing away. A moment taken to watch them before she'd turn and head to her little room in which she slept. Making her way to her bed, slipping out of the robe worn. Due to the heat of the night, just a slip of a chemise would be worn for comfort. Blankets pulled down, she'd flop back onto the bed, not pulling the covers up; she usually did that during her sleep at some point in the evening. Snuggling into those fluffy pillows, she'd gaze up at the ceiling for a moment, then her eyes closed. The past days events would slowly filter like a picture show in her mind before she'd begin to drift off to sleep. It was well after midnight before the plans went into motion. For two weeks Creole had been making preparations for just this night. He'd learned of Capt. Black's plans, or at least some of them, through his crewmen. Creole was the type that liked to create his own adventures at times, especially when he found life getting a little to dull drum and idle. Each night a different crew member would scope out the town and when they came across this Basinstoke lass they'd hang back and learn her force of habits, the daily and nightly routines and places she frequented. They'd learned about her, who she was and what she was to this Capt. Black. There were plans for her to travel in time and meet up with the pirate wench, relocating to the secret Jade Skull Islands. Creole had only come across them by rumor a few months earlier. So he knew of the destination spot. Creole decided to have some fun with this. Adventurous as he was he relished a bit of sport. No real harm to be done here, at least from his dark point of view. They only planned to aid this Basinstoke lass along her way and a bit earlier than she had planned for her intended trip. Fortunately Dion had another port of call and sailed off on the Sea Rogue over a week ago. Creole had not shared his plans with his partner, for surely he'd have stopped him dead in his tracks. It was to dangerous, risky and only asking for an all out war with the notorious Capt. Black and her small fleet of ships and vigilant crew. He'd learn soon enough in a few days times what his partner had done. For they planned to meet up on their way towards the Caribbean seas. By then it was to late to turn back events. Creole would have his fun and sport and Dion would have another headache to deal with and figure a way out of this scheme that Panamon had created for them. In other words, he'd have to save their blasted necks; again. For the last two days the Black Rogue had been out to sea, roughly ten miles from the port of Heathfield. Out of sight and suspicion. 1 a.m. the ship sailed into the harbor and anchored near the cliffs below the Basinstoke lass' home. The night was perfect for a little abduction. The clouds covered the moon and blotted out the schooner from visible sight. Two row boats headed towards the shoreline and the captain and five crewmen made the arduous climb up the path of the cliffs to her home. By the time they reached the boundaries of her property it was two in the morning. Not a soul was about and the lights were out. The crewmen hurried over to the stirring animals and kneeled down to feed them some fresh meat bones, softly crooning a sailor's tune. Meanwhile, Creole silently slipped into the Basinstoke woman's house, slipped off his boots and crept to her bed chamber. The door began to part from the frame and stopped. Panamon paused to rub some grease on the hinged door then silently pushed it open. From within his pocket he withdrew a rag and a bottle of Sweet Vitriol, pouring a good amount onto the dry cloth. He wasted no more time, hurrying to her bedside where he saw her sleeping form and cuffed the rag over her face, holding it firmly in place for several long seconds. He knew it would awaken her, but by the time she was fully awake and able to struggle the drug would knock her out. Easy prey, easier abduction for the pirate. The dogs would begin to growl as they were approached, too low a noise to wake her up though. Food was a good way to silence them quickly, although they would not be able to be approached. The raccoons stirred when the smell of a stranger awakened them from their sleep. They began to chatter excitedly in warning, but the warning would be too late. She had just started to slowly rise from that state of sleep, when she felt a hand clamp over her mouth and nose with a cloth held within it. Her own hands would rise as eyes opened wide, grasping his arms to try and pull his hands away, unable to cry out due to that press upon her lips. Body twisting from side to side in that struggle, that within a few moments began to lose it's momentum and her grip upon his arms to weaken in it's hold. A few more futile attempts before her hands would loosen fully of their hold, her struggles to cease and her body to fully relaxed as the drug fully enacted. Creole held her down to the bed with his other hand pressing against her shoulder. She was a fiery lass and had more strength than he'd figured on. He felt the cinch of her fingers grip into the sleeves of his shirt, useless as it was. As she began to lose the struggle the pirate leaned his dark face in close before her eyes, smiling at her in a grim way. "There we go. Yes, my pretty lass. Breath. Don't fight it. Breath deeply." Came the purr of his low voice whispering out to her. "Soon you won't care. You won't remember much of this until you wake. Then the fun will begin. Sleep now." His lips were so near her face they almost brushed against the soft, silky flesh. The wicked smile reformed into a dastardly grin, watching her eyes finally submit when the lids closed over them. She was out; cold. He wasted no time! Calling out orders his men swiftly went into motion and entered the house. Creole slung the unconscious woman over his shoulder and carried her straight out. He pointed to a collection of trucks and pointed out a few other items sitting around her house, telling the men to collect them and bring them along to the boats waiting below the cliffs. They were quick about their work, within fifteen minutes the six men were marching down the winding path and reached the boats. The woman's belongings were settled into one, the lass into the other with the Captain of the Black Rogue. Paddles quickly dipped into the water and rowed out to the awaiting ship and crew who eagerly hoisted them up and everything else. She was taken to a room and tied to a bed, her belongings shoved into an adjoining room. Before Creole left her he tossed her robe at the foot of the bed and glanced back. "I'll see you in the morning, lass." The door was pulled shut and locked, by the time he reached the main deck the ship had already pulled up anchor and the sails had been unfurled as the wind caught the main sail and the Black Rogue swiftly sailed off with their prize. One Carlotta Basinstoke had vanished in the middle of the night! [/font]

'The Morning After'
Her head felt as if it was going to simply explode when her eyes began to flutter open to the brilliance of the sun that glared through the window. A light groan as she made her move to sit up, but something stopped her. Her mind was momentarily groggy due to the remnants of the drug and just awakening. Another attempt to sit up, only to fail again, with eyes still closed, she tried to figure out the problem. That's when realization hit her that her wrists were tied to her bed, as were her feet. Wait? Was it her bed? It didn't feel familiar, and why was it rocking slightly? That was when a flash of memory hit her like a fist to the face, someone had their hand over her face when she had awaken in the middle of the night. Eyes flew open, the pain would be searing, but slowly ebbing as eyes watered horribly. Unable to wipe them due to her present state, she'd just blink them several times as she tried to focus on where she was. Soon she'd be able to see enough to know exactly where she was. It was a small room, no cabin...." Head tipped back to peer up above her head, and there was the source of the light, a port hole. There was no doubt in home in the middle of the night. The door to the lasses room suddenly burst open and in walked a stout man with a round belly. He carried a tray of steaming food and a pot of tea. "Morning little lassie. Did ya sleep well?" He chimed in a chipper voice. His eyes were as blue as the bonnie flag, and twinkled with mischief. "Got ya some grub 'ere, figure ye might be 'ungry after that 'orrible fit of sleep ye've had from last nigh'." The tray was set on a small table near the bed before he turned to check her bindings. "Wish I could untie ye. But capt'n gave orders ye to remain like this fer now." Just then a dark form stood in the doorway watching the lass tied to the bed. He was tall, darker of skin and features with a grim line across his mouth, which slowly curled up into a nasty grin. "That'll be it for now, Crete. I'll take care of the lass." The crewman turned, looking up at the man in surprise and bobbed at him. "Yer choice capt'n. If'n ye need me, just holler." Crete glanced back to the Basinstoke lass, griming something funny. "Or yelp. She gonna give ye a heap o' trouble capt'n, Aye, she is." His laughter was riotous as he carried himself out of the cabin, the captain stepping out of his way and moving into the room. "Well, good morning lass. Did you have a fine rest?" He knew she was feeling like hell right about now. Creole walked over to the side of her bed and took a seat beside her, lifting the lid off one of the steaming plates. "Let's see what we've got here? Potatoes, eggs, ham, some biscuits and tea." He turned to her, wearing an uncaring smirk. "What would you like to start with first?" His head most likely. His shoulders moved a little under the suppressed of laughter. His own. Eyes narrowed on the man, if looks could kill, he would have keeled over on the spot. Listening to his babble, until he mentioned the ship's captain. Just as she was about to demand an audience with the horrid man, the crew member addressed someone standing in the door, and mentioned the very title of the one for whom she was going to demand to see. Eyes would snap in the direction of the Captain of this very ship. "Your head." Would seem the man is somewhat psychic, knowing exactly what she was going to ask for before she spoke. "I'd suggest for your own well being that you release me this instant. You have no idea of exactly who you're dealing with." She'd test the restraints a few more times. Glaring at him all the while, another who would have fallen dead to the floor by that look being given. Creole could only shake his head, tossing it back with his laughter. When his gaze leveled on the restrained woman his look was cold, impassive. "Oh, but your mistaken, lovey. I do know who you are. And more importantly, what you are and to whom." Creole brought his face up to hers, staring her dark look back down with his own. He rubbed a curled finger about his chin, "Someone finds you very important and will want you very badly." He sat himself back, wearing a smug expression on his dark features. "I am only the delivery man, bringing a desired object to their destiny." Loosely he waved his hand out before her. "You don't mind a little voyage now do you? It's right up your alley I hear." The smirk was nasty, leaning himself over to scoop up some of the eggs from the plate. "Let's try these first, eh?" He grinned, holding the s p o o n near her mouth. "Open wide." The devil himself could not gloat any finer. She was being kidnapped and held for ransom? That only infuriated her all the more. "Evidently you don't know enough you sea scum. You better mark your days, of that I can promise you, for they are surely numbered once one gets word of this." A sneer directed up towards him. Again she'd try those restraints, she'd not give up. When he tried to feed her, those lips would press tightly together and her head snapped to the side looking away from him. It was probably poisoned anyway. If she kept this up his throat would hurt with the spill of many more gaffed laughs. "You wound me with your sugary words of venom, Miss Carlotta Basinstoke. Yes, I know who you are." Reaching his hand over he forcefully turned her face back. "Come now. Ya gotta eat. And don't you worry none about my pretty neck. Many have tried to noose it and failed." With her suspicious eyes watching him Creole glanced to the s p o o n of eggs, eyeing them too. He laughed again, amused and shoved the s p o o n f u l into his mouth, eating the bite. "See, it's good. Really. But it's getting cold. Open up. Come on." Leaning over to scoop another s p o o nful he brought it to her lips again, dancing a devilish smile over his mouth. Trying to pull free of his grasp upon her face, she'd just continue to glare up at him with such hatred. She wasn't below wringing someone's neck herself, and at the present moment the want to do just that was quite strong. "It's not a noose you'll have to worry about, but the slash of a sharp blade." About as close to a growl as a human voice could get. She cared little if the swine ate from the plate, and one thing was for certain, he wasn't putting anything that's been in his mouth into hers. Lips again to press tightly together as she would again try to turn her head away from him, forcing against his hold. Stubborn wench, that she was. Finally Creole tossed the s p o o n back onto the platter of food, giving up for now. "Have it your way, lass. But I'll warrant after a few missed meals you'll be hungry enough to eat those bindings clean through." His fingers still held her face turned towards him. "You don't like me much, do you?" Came his grin behind his words. "What's wrong? I'm I too ugly for you? Not some pretty boy with fashionable manners?" Tsk, tsking would be the sound between his lips. "Uppity little thing, aren't we? Fine. Stew awhile, lovely. But remember this." Fingers easily pinching her cheeks the dark face came over the top of hers, instantly his lips smashed to her mouth and gave her a bruising kiss, fleeting at best. The captain suddenly released her like a branding iron burn and stood up from the bedside. "I'll see you later." He spat and turned on a heel to leave her alone again. Bound to the bed, with the food just out of reach. Frustration; Anger; Humiliation, all surged through her simultaneously, so many things she wanted to say but found not her voice. Fighting as best she could when he touched her in such a manner, it was appalling to say the least. A sudden want to just empty her stomach where she laid, but she knew if he was this cruel, he'd probably more than likely make her lay in it for quite awhile. Though when his lips left hers, she'd be spatting herself, trying to rid herself of the taste he left behind of whiskey and tobacco. "You're a dead man walking Govn'r." Her voice to be found enough to utter that threat when he turned to walk out of that room. Those eyes filled with hate and contempt would try and bore through him.
The gruff sound of harsh laughter slipped behind the close of the door as he clicked shut, relocking it right behind him. He turned to a crewman on guard with instructions. "Let her miss the evening meal. By breakfast she'll be hungry enough to eat anything thrown at her." Creole took a step away then swung his dark gaze back on the shorter man who gave a firm nod. "Oh, and I don't want anyone but myself or Crete entering her room." He eyed the sailor up and down. "Is that understood?" His voice snapped. "Aye, capt'n." The crewman barked back and flipped him a salute. The pirate made a graveled sound then turned and climbed the steps to up to the main deck. He'd check in on his guest around dinner time, after he'd eaten his full and smelled of fresh cooked food on his breath.
